Digital Storytelling
Digital Storytelling Method 1: Create a PowerPoint, save all slides as JPEG images. Import JPEG images into PhotoStory. Add your voice recording with each image. Add music if you want to. Save as a wmv movie. Upload to the net, download to your iPod or MP4 player.

- Early Year Literacy Digital Stories: 1. Lesson plan for writing a fable http://2pl.us/5fV . This lesson plan was created from the PowerPoint used during the initial lesson of “How to write your own fable or legend” (Early Years Literacy). The lesson plan was then posted to the school’s intranet and TeacherTube. Students could access it afterwards to refresh their memories or check instructions and examples (“Ask three before you ask me…one of the three should be the online lesson.”) 2. This story was used during the initial lesson as an example of what students should be creating. Student work samples were then created in pairs, and posted to TeacherTube:

Digital Storytelling Method 2: Create a PowerPoint. Save all slides as JPEG’s. Import JPEG images into MovieMaker. Add sound/music. You can also add voice clips by using Audacity or the Computer’s sound recorder to record your voice, and then importing the soundbytes into MovieMaker.

Digital Storytelling Method 4: MovieMaker, cutting in from different video snippets, add music and information slides.
Here is a showcase video made for the Knowledge Bank New Generation Project, to demonstrate how podcasting and digital stories have a positive effect on students with Autism. This curriculum application was shortlisted for the Victorian Curriculum Innovation Award in March 2009, and presented at the Innovation Showcase in Melbourne in May 2009.

It never ceases to surprise me how, with a bit of extra digging online, you can discover some of the most unique websites.
